Crappy workout today. Guess those are going to happen from time to time. Got a throbbing pain building up in my shoulders as I worked up to today’s snatch weight. Once I got there, I missed 3 times in a row with the prescribed weight of 150lb, then backed of and hit a power snatch at 135. Given the pain in my shoulders, I decided to cut short my workout and just finish with the front squats for the day. To get in at least a little C&J work, I cleaned the weight to start each set, and did a jerk at the end of the first two sets.
I’ll take the day off from lifting tomorrow and just do a metcon workout with my friend, and will make sure I warm up my shoulders better on Saturday. I’ll have a longer break after that with our family reunion, so next Friday will probably be the next workout I get in after Saturday.
